SEESAC organizes PSSM training in Skopje
SKOPJE – SEESAC supported the Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostoloski" in Skopje, in organizing a five day training course on the principles of Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM). The course, which took place on March 23 - 28, 2015 was attended by 33 members of the Armed Forces and Police of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia working on weapons and ammunition stockpile management.
The 18 members of the Armed Forces and 12 members of the Ministry of Interior were provided 20 hours of theoretical and 5 hours of practical training giving insight into the principles of secure and safe storage of ammunition and mine-explosive devices. All officers who attended the course are working directly with their respective Ministries’ stockpile capacities.
The course was an activity under the EU Council Decision 2013/730/CFSP and the project EU Support of SEESAC Disarmament and Arms Control Activities in South East Europe (EUSAC).
