The Ministry of Economy of Montenegro, the country’s leading agency in the arms transfer control system, issued its 10th Annual Report on Foreign Trade in Arms, Military Equipment and Dual-Use Goods for the period of 1 January 2015 through 31 December 2015. The report gives a detailed description of issued and realized licenses for export, import and brokering activities in 2015. Given that the licenses issued in 2015 can be realized throughout the year 2016, this report also covers the realization of all licenses through May 2016.
The report also contains information on Montenegro’s policy of export and import controls, Law on Foreign Trade in Controlled goods - in effect since 1 July 2009, national control lists, competent institutions in the licensing process, licensing criteria, international agreements, past experience in the field of foreign trade of controlled goods, participation in workshops and further advancement of the control system, as well as a statistical analysis of the licensing data provided in the tables.
The report was prepared in accordance with EU recommendations regarding the format and the content of national reports, in order to make it compatible with the EU reports and comparable with the national reports of the neighboring states.
The report is available in English and BCMS languages, on SEESAC’s National and Regional Reports page along with the previous reports.
