Albania: Annual Report on Export Control for 2009

The Republic of Albania has produced their second national report on exports and imports of arms, military equipment and dual-use goods covering the period from 01 Jan 2009 to 31 Dec 2009.

The responsible institution in the Republic of Albania for implementation of the state policy in the field of imports and exports control is the State Export Control Authority (AKSHE) in cooperation with ministries and other state entities that have competences over export control.

The Report provides information about the national legislation on state exports control, presents overview of the state exports control system and the decision making process for granting an export license. It contains the list of military goods and dual-use goods and technologies; it presents the international regimes of Arms Exports Control and specifies Albanian international commitments, as well as the objectives and activities for the future.

The annexes contain data on the national imports and exports of military goods in 2009, number and value of issued licenses broken down by destinations.
