Publications
Since its establishment in 2002, SEESAC has sought to increase knowledge and improve capacity of national, regional and international stakeholders in order to support their efforts to control and reduce the use and proliferation of small arms and light weapons (SALW). At the same time, SEESAC has been raising the awareness of the role, impact and risk posed by SALW in the region. SEESAC Publications are a major tool in the fulfilment of this mission.
There are several types of SEESAC publications. Activity Reports are short overviews of key SEESAC activities giving a comprehensive summary of all SEESAC activities. Study Reports are longer publication based on in-depth and thorough research of key topics related to SALW. The SEE SALW Monitor provide an overview of how SEE countries have progressed towards fulfilling their commitments in the domain of combating the proliferation of SALW. Finally SALW Surveys provide an accurate picture of the situation in each country providing the foundations from which for national and international policy makers can build accurate responses.
