Resource Mobilisation in 2009

1. SEESAC has submitted the following three proposals for funding to the Working Party on Global Disarmament and Arms Controls (CODUN) of the Council of the EU:

- SALW Marking and Tracing

- SALW Destruction

- Stockpile management

2. SEESAC has submitted one proposal for funding to the Working Party on conventional Arms Exports (COARM) of the Council of the EU:

- Regional Arms Exports Control

3. SEESAC has drafted a project document in cooperation with OSCE ODIHR and the Southeast Police Chiefs Association (SEPCA) for the development and establishment of a regional network of women police officers and capacity building for women prosecutors and judges:

- Regional Gender Action in Policing and Justice

4. SEESAC has drafted a concept paper for armed violence research in Serbia:

- Study of Perceptions of Safety and Security in Serbia

The concept paper has been submitted to bilateral donors for funding.

5. SEESAC has drafted extensive documentation for the establishment of a Regional Trust Fund with the Regional Cooperation Council for supporting activities of the existing regional initiatives and task forces, SEESAC being one of them. The draft documents have been submitted to the Deputy Secretary General of the RCC for their consideration. SEESAC has come up with this innovative initiative in order to ensure 1) enhanced regional ownership; and 2) sustainability of its operations after 2010.

6. On 10 September 2009 SEESAC has sumbitted a grant request to Norway for funding project activities in 2010 and 2011. The project is comlementary to the proposal send to CODUN yearly this year.
