Montenegro: Industry Outreach Workshop

The Ministry of Economy of Montenegro has requested support from SEESAC for the organization of an industry outreach workshop on licensing procedures of import and export of arms and military equipment. The focus of the event was to familiarize representatives of the arms industry with procedures for data gathering of information about the utilization of the export licenses. The event was also an opportunity to provide an update on the licensing procedures and to facilitate the dialogue between the industry representatives and government officials. The industry outreach benefited from the addresses of several guest speakers on best practices in the field of brokering and national arms export control.

The workshop took place in Podgorica, on 25 May 2010.
